This is a 1986 Land Rover 110 County Station Wagon V8 that the customer had owned for a number of years and he decided to have it restored and enhanced with a number of upgrades and improvements.

The whole Land Rover was stripped down to the chassis and a brand new galvanised chassis was used as the backbone of the restoration. Original bulkhead was shot blasted and welded as required before being galvanised for longevity.

Original 3.5 carburettor engine lacked performance so we solved this with a reconditioned 3.9 V8 with fuel injection and bespoke exhaust system that incorporated a switchable silencer (can be loud or quiet!) and twin exit pipes each side of the rear chassis rails. To cope with the extra power the gearbox was fully reconditioned and new clutch fitted. The brakes were upgraded with cross drilled and slotted brake discs and high performance brake pads. Suspension was improved with Bilstein shock absorbers and fast road springs to keep it in contact with the road. Wheel spacers with wide alloy wheels and BFGoodrich tyres also ensure a good level of grip both on and off road.

Another major improvement was the refurbishment of the bodywork as all the doors were heavily rusted and the bodywork badly blistered. We fitted 5 new doors and numerous pieces of body capping were also renewed before the bodywork was re-sprayed in Metallic Grey. LED lights, side step bars and roof rack complete the stunning looks of this Land Rover.

The interior was also very tired and was upgraded with black leather seats, alcantara headlining, new door cars, full soundproofing kit, rubber floor matting and a quality audio system with DAB and Bluetooth. End result a 1986 Land Rover that has been refurbished and restored for the 21st century!
